Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865

Cordelia A.P. Harvey

Detached Tent #21

Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Detached Tent #21 was the first Tent in Wisconsin after 50 years!  Congrats on such an outstanding accomplishment!

We are a diverse group of women who have different occupations, hobbies and interests.  Some of the ladies are retired, while others work and have small children at home.  There are women who spend weekends in tents in the countryside, wearing hoop skirts and attending skirmishes, while there are others whose idea of a relaxing weekend is the Hilton.  It is safe to say most of us are history buffs with a story about our ancestors to tell.  We always welcome  more to our group and diversity is appreciated.  Our goal is simple:  help the men and women who have served our country.
