Arvilla Johnson
Arvilla Johnson, 97, Onconto Falls, died early August 12, 2014 at Sharpe Care.  She was born  September 7, 1916 in the Mountain area to Albert and Jessie (Hurning) Bartz.  Arvilla grew up in the Mountian area where she graduated High School with the class of 1934.

On September 4, 1936 she married Bob Johnson in Onconto Fall.  Arvilla lived in Oconto Falls for most of her life where she was employed by Helstad Drug for almost 30 years.  She was a longtime member of the Onconto Falls United Methodist Church where she was very active in many church activities.  Arvilla also belonged to the Onconto Falls Women's Club, The CMH Auxiliary, River Island Golf Club and as an avid Bridge Player, participating in many bridge clubs.  Arvilla will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring and giving person who was always willing to give s hug.

Survivors are her three children, Bill "BJ" (Sharon) Johnson, Onconto Falls; Bill "Scrap (Alberta "Bert) Johnson, Redding, CA; Bonnie (Vic) Peterson, Oconto Falls; five granchildren, six step-greatgrandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob Johnson on January , 1967, four brothers, Harvey, Delbert, and Bill Bartz and one sister, Sylvia Oshwaldt.

Visitation will be held at the Onconto Falls United Methodist Church after 8:30 am Saturday, August 19 until the time of the Service.  Funeral Services will be held at 11;00 am Saturday at the Church with Pastor Jerry Cho officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto, WI.

Arvilla became a member of Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Tent 21, Manitowoc on May 2, 2013 and was initiated at the following Meeting in Green Bay.  She was the aunt to several Tent Members.  She wore her Tent Badge home with her in her casket.  Rest in Peace, Arvilla.
